Bad Breath Causes

Bad breath causes bad things to happen in your personal life and your work life. It would be easier if people would just tell you when you have bad breath. Since they do not want to embarrass you, they do not tell you.

Your bad breath does affect what others think about you. It has a very negative effect. That is why it is essential that you do something now to get rid of it. You cannot afford to ignore your situation.

To solve your problem, you are going to have to deal with the causes of bad breath. But what are the usual bad breath causes?

You probably have your worst breath when you first wake up in the morning. So you brush your teeth. Your breath might be OK for a while after you brush. As the day wears on, the bad breath odor may start to build up in your mouth. Sooner or later the people around you know it.

Some of the bad breath causes come from things that you do. Think about how a person’s breath smells after eating a meal with garlic or onions. You also can pick up bad breath odors from cigarette or cigar smoke. Many alcoholic beverages can pack a wallop.

Sometimes people will try to use gum, breath mints, a breath spray or some other sort of breath freshener to try to cover up the effect of halitosis. Halitosis is just one more word for bad breath.

But if you do use those breath fresheners, they may not last for very long. Not if the cause of your evil odor is bad dental hygiene. Not if the cause is certain foods that you have eaten recently. Those brief treatments will not be able to mask your bad odors for very long.

A few sad souls suffer from what is known as chronic bad breath. Chronic bad breath is the case when you have a constant bad odor coming from you. It might be coming from your mouth or nose. This can happen even if you do have good oral hygiene.

The usual cause of bad breath is the bacteria that live in your mouth. They feed on any food particles left in your mouth after you eat. That is why you need to use a good fresh toothbrush to brush in between your teeth. You need to get in between all of your teeth, not just the ones in front.

A good brushing is going to take you at least five minutes. If you are taking less time I doubt you are hitting all the areas that can be sources of bad breath.

Some products used for oral hygiene make the problem worse instead of better. It is best if you use dental products that have peroxide and baking soda as the main ingredients. They can combat your bad breath causes. Then you can be safe and confident as you have close conversations with others.
